Bachelor’s Adventure man stabbed during brawl

A 28-year-old man is now hospitalised after he was stabbed about his body during a row with another man at Coldingen, East Coast Demerara (ECD) in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Injured is Travis Bellamy of Bachelor’s Adventure, ECD. Based on reports received, the victim and the suspect are known to each other and would socialise in the same community.
However, on the day in question, Bellamy was “liming” at Coldingen with several other persons when an argument broke out between him and the suspect.
Both men reportedly armed themselves with knives and thereafter a fight broke out during which the suspect stabbed the victim to the right side of his abdomen. After receiving the stab wound, the victim collapsed on the roadway while the suspect fled the scene.
Bellamy was rushed to the hospital where he was admitted a patient. Investigations are ongoing.
Just a few days ago, 35-year-old Marlon Scott, of Onderneeming Sand Pit, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), was stabbed during an argument with another man. It was reported that the victim and the suspect, who is also of the said village, had a misunderstanding which resulted in a heated argument.
During the argument, the suspect reportedly whipped out a knife from his pants waist and stabbed the victim to his right thumb, right foot, and his right lower back. At the time of the incident, Scott was in the presence of his sister.
After receiving the stab wounds, the man reportedly collapsed, but was picked up and taken to the Suddie Hospital where he was admitted a patient. The suspect was subsequently arrested and charged.
