Bandits stab Enmore man to face during robbery

Two bandits were on Sunday evening apprehended and handed over to Police, after stabbing a man to his face and subsequently relieving him of his valuables at the Berbice bus park in Georgetown.
Based on information received, the robbery occurred about 22:45h. Guyana Times was told that the men stabbed the 32-year-old victim to his face with an ice-pick and carted off his valuables.
However, public-spirited citizens and personnel of a security service in the area pursued the two suspects, and they were nabbed and handed over to the Police. However, the items were not recovered.
The victim, who resides in Enmore, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was treated.
Police have since confirmed that the men of Middle Road, La Penitence, and Hadfield Street, Lodge were being interrogated in relation to several other robberies.
