Trinidad makeup artist (MUA))Paulla De Souza is on a mission to enhance the natural beauty of every face she touches and share her knowledge with women on how to look effortlessly chic and gorgeous.
De Souza, who was part of the Miss Universe Pageant team in 1999 when it was held in Trinidad, is hosting her Beauty Empowerment Celebration on Sunday at Cara Lodge, Quamina Street, Georgetown.
According to De Souza, the Celebration is for “every woman (who) wants the 411 on how to look effortlessly chic and gorgeous, whether you are a business or corporate professional, MUA or the casual woman”..
With over 20 years’ experience as a Pro MUA, De Souza definitely knows what she is talking about. Her work has been seen in short and feature films, docudramas, television shows including “Locked Up Abroad”, music videos, newspaper and TV advertisements, fashion and editorial, bridal, family portraits, corporate, beauty contests and fashion shows.
She also specialises in male grooming, and believes makeup should be used to create the illusion of perfection rather than create a mask. The accomplished makeup educator/ instructor and inspirational speaker enjoys sharing her journey with everyone who is also on the path to becoming a better version of themselves.
Her life motto is captured in Les Brown’s quote: “If you develop what you do well and become a master of yourself, if you set goals and go after them with all the determination you can muster, your gift will take you places that will amaze you.”
