That project, one of the main programmes for the 80th Anniversary Celebrations, was spearheaded by President Hilbert Foster, Public Relations Officer Simon Naidu, Treasurer Dr. Cecil Beharry, and Administrator Angela Haniff.
Dr. Tulsi Dyal Singh has contributed $371,000. (US$1800.00) which would be used to tile the 20’ x 30’ foot office, purchase electric fans, and purchase plastic and folding chairs for the Dr. Cheddi Jagan Street, New Amsterdam-based office.

Foster regards the Texas- based medical doctor as one of the main reasons why his twenty-months’ presidency has been so successful. The purchasing of the chairs means that the BCB would no longer has to rent chairs whenever it holds meetings or official functions at the office.
The three-piece suit would enable the proactive Cricket Board to properly host visitors at its office, and is one of numerous improvements over the last month. The office now has its own television set, DVD player, water dispenser, Desktop computer, printer, fax machine, electric fans among others.
Management of the Board has also purchased numerous other items to make sure that the BCB becomes self-reliant, and has also obtained sponsorship to install PVC ceiling on the roof, while the Wall of Fame would be upgraded to international standards.
The month long celebration of the BCB’s 80th Anniversary has been very successful.
