“Black and Shine” slapped with robbery charge

Eighteen-year-old Seon Benjamin also called “Black and Shine,” a welder, was on Tuesday granted bail in the sum of $50,000 by Magistrate Alicia George for the offence of robbery with violence.
The young man pleaded not guilty to the charge which stated that on December 17, 2020, he relieved Fitzroy Cummings of articles worth $815,000 while using violence in the process.
The D Field Sophia resident made his appearance at the Sparendaam Magistrate’s Court where the charge was read to him.
After the Magistrate’s ruling, the accused was ordered to be off the road between 18:00h to 6:00h on a daily basis and he must report to the Turkeyen Police Station on the 15th and the end of every month until the completion of the matter. Failure to adhere to the court’s orders will see him spending prison time.
He will make his next court appearance on March 9, 2021.
