Bodybuilders achieving pro status a plus ― Brisport-Luke

Following one of Guyana’s most successful run in its history of bodybuilding, recently accredited Central America and Caribbean (CAC) judge Franklyn Brisport-Luke is of the opinion that there will be many rewards for the country as it relates to our bodybuilders achieving pro status.

In an exclusive interview with Guyana Times Sport, the 49-year-old judge reminded that Guyana has done “tremendously well” in 2016 and “it is a plus for us once they bodybuilders achieve the pro status at the Arnold Classic that they are earmarked to go to within another two months.”
While he congratulated them for putting Guyana on the map, he is particularly proud that this is the first time we will be having representatives at the Arnold Classic, if plans go accordingly.
Some of the front runners in the world of bodybuilding, according to the CAC judge were CAC gold medalist, Kerwin Clarke, Emmerson Campbell, Devon Davis, Yannick Grimes Alisha Fortune while young Faroud Bacchus has caught the eye of most fitness enthusiasts.
Not only will the Arnold Classic have high rewards for the country through the athletes, but the country will also have the first ever Guyanese judge who is accredited from that organization if Brisport-Luke is given the opportunity to go forward.
In a previous interview, President of the Guyana Amateur Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (GABBF), Keavon Bess related that Brisport-Luke is setting the standard for judging in the country and is clearing a path for other judges who will want to follow in his footsteps along with Frank Tucker who is arguably the most qualified judge in the country.
During the 2016 season Guyana performed at their peak, copping five medals at the CAC in Dominica Republic, medaling at the Darcy Beckles Classic in Barbados, successfully hosting Stage of Champions.
