Boots thief lands before the court

A not guilty plea was entered by Sheldon Curt, who was taken to the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Friday after he allegedly stole a pair of boots.

Magistrate Leron Daly read the charge against Curt, which stated that on May 28, 2017, at Congress Drive, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, stole one pair of boots valued $30,000; property of Patrice Albert.

According to the defendant, the boots was given to him by the Virtual Complainant (VC) who later claimed that it was stolen. The prosecution had no objection for bail being granted and he was released on $30,000 bail. The case will continue on July 19.
