Caribbean Games: Bronze for Guyana Men’s 3×3 Basketball team, silver for Archer and Crane
The Guyana Men’s 3×3 Basketball team took the bronze on Saturday evening at the Caribbean Games in Guadeloupe.
Additionally, athlete Joanna Archer and swimmer Zara Crane copped silver and bronze respectively. Archer had success in the women’s 800m and Crane came third in the women’s 200m breaststroke.
For the men’s 3×3 basketball team, the Guyanese – Stanton Rose, Timothy Thompson, Kimol Grimmond and Yonnick Tappin – combined to defeat Cuba 14-9.
It was sweet revenge for the Guyanese, who lost to the Cubans in the preliminary round on Saturday morning.
