The Demerara Volleyball Association (DVA) female playoffs continued in thrilling fashion at the National Gymnasium on Mandela Avenue, Georgetown, with four decisive matches played in a best-of-three-sets format. Fans were treated to commanding performances as teams battled for supremacy and valuable standing points in the competition.
In the opening encounter, Vanguard set the tone for the evening with a confident straight-sets victory over Glasgow Rangers. Displaying strong serves and cohesive teamwork, Vanguard secured the match 2-0, denying Glasgow Rangers any opportunity to gain momentum. The win immediately positioned Vanguard as serious contenders in the play-off race.
The second match saw Classic Ball Blasters (CBB) assert their dominance against the Premier Eagles. CBB executed a disciplined and energetic performance, sealing a 2-0 victory to continue their impressive run. Their consistency on both offence and defence proved too much for the Premier Eagles, who struggled to contain CBB’s attacking rhythm.

Their improved coordination and sharp finishing ensured Glasgow Rangers endured their second defeat of the play-offs.
The final match of the evening featured CBB against Vanguard in what many anticipated would be a closely contested showdown. Instead, CBB reinforced their dominance with another straight-sets triumph, defeating Vanguard 2-0. The victory solidified CBB’s position at the top of the standings and underscored their status as the team to beat.
At the close of play, Classic Ball Blasters lead the table, followed by Vanguard in second place, the Premier Eagles in third, and Glasgow Rangers in fourth.
