CGCC makes donation to CDC to assist flood victims

In light of the nationwide flooding across Guyana, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Canada-Guyana Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) Natalia Seepersaud on Friday handed over a quantity of food and sanitation items as well as monetary donations to Public Relations Officer (PRO) at the Civil Defence Commission (CDC), Patrice Wishart.
Wishart expressed his gratitude to the Chamber while noting that the Civil Defence Commission (CDC) would like to thank the CGCC and the myriad of businesses for their timely contributions towards the national flood relief effort.
“The supplies and funds will aid affected residents across Guyana tremendously,” Wishart stated

In addition, Chairman of the CGCC Anand Beharry stated: “As members of Guyana’s business community, we are deeply committed to helping our colleagues and communities in Guyana during this tremendously challenging time and we are honoured to support the disaster relief efforts of the Government of Guyana through the CDC.”
