CGI confirms the addition of Reifer and Permaul to Jaguars squad

– available for semi-finals

Fresh from touring Bangladesh with the West Indies team, the Guyana Jaguars duo of Veerasammy Permaul and Raymon Reifer arrived in Antigua on Wednesday, February 17, and have been added to the Guyana Jaguars squad.
Cricket Guyana Inc. (CGI) confirmed that the duo would be available for the semi-finals of the ongoing CG Insurance Regional Super50 Cup.
Due to the strict COVID-19 guidelines, the players will undergo quarantine, which will make them unavailable for selection until the semi-finals, which are slated for February 24 and February 26. The grand final is set to bowl off on Saturday, February 27.

CGI also confirmed that two players will be sent home to Guyana to facilitate the West Indies duo of Permaul and Reifer. The two players to be sent home will be confirmed over the next few days. Multiple sources have indicated that Assad Fudadin, Kemol Savory or Tevin Imlach may be a part of the duo being sent home to facilitate Permaul and Reifer.

Jaguars have recorded three wins in as many matches, and have one foot in the semi-finals. Jaguars will meet Trinidad and Tobago Red Force on Saturday, February 20, followed by the Windward Islands Volcanoes on Monday February 22.
Most of the West Indies players and management personnel are in Antigua undergoing quarantine as West Indies prepare to face Sri Lanka in an all-format series commencing from March 3.
