Chase’s Academic Foundation signalled their title ambitions with a dominant 9-0 victory over Patentia Secondary when Round-of-16 action in the Massy Under-18 Schools Football Tournament concluded on Saturday at the Queen’s College Ground.
Shaquan David led the charge with a hat-trick as Chase overwhelmed their opponents to book a place in the quarter-finals.

St Joseph High also advanced after defeating East Ruimveldt Secondary 4-2, with Semech Starke netting a double. They will now face West Ruimveldt Secondary, who secured their spot with a 4-1 win over West Demerara, powered by a hat-trick from Donavan Welcome.
Elsewhere, Charlestown Secondary and Santa Rosa recorded narrow victories in their respective fixtures. Charlestown edged Belladrum 2-1, while Santa Rosa defeated Yarrowkabra Secondary 3-2 in a closely-contested encounter.
Ann’s Grove Secondary also progressed with a 2-0 win against New Amsterdam Secondary, thanks to a brace from Kennard Halley.
The quarterfinal round is scheduled for today from 10:30h at the same venue.’
