The Human Services and Social Security Ministry on Tuesday stated that it will expand the Accessories Cottage Industry Initiative (ACII) to benefit female Venezuelan migrants.
This will be done with the aim of providing entrepreneurial opportunities for the women who fled their home country and settled in Guyana seeking a better life.
The Initiative will be coordinated and managed by the Guyana Women’s Leadership Institute (GWLI) – the Ministry’s premier business incubator that directly targets women.
The opportunity is open to all female migrants who can sew and reside in the following Regions: One (Barima-Waini), Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara), Four (Demerara- Mahaica) and Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni).
The online application form is available on the Ministry’s website or can be uplifted from the Information Desk at the Ministry’s Water and Cornhill Streets location, Stabroek Market, Georgetown, or regional offices in the specific regions.
