Courtney Walsh’s 519 Guyana joins IMC Over-40s World Cup as bronze sponsor

519 Guyana, the pan-Caribbean restaurant and bar owned by former West Indies fast bowler Courtney Walsh, has joined the 2026 International Masters Cricket (IMC) Over-40s World Cup as an official bronze sponsor.
The tournament will bring 16 teams to Guyana for 72 matches from October 17 to October 31, with the final scheduled for the National Stadium, Providence, east Bank Demerara (EBD). The competition is being organised by IMC in collaboration with the Cricket West Indies Masters Association (CWIMA). President Dr Irfaan Ali is the patron of the World Cup.
The addition of 519 Guyana comes as preparations continue for the 45-over tournament, which will feature several former international players. Walsh’s involvement through his business adds a further West Indies connection to the event.

Former West Indies Captain Denesh Ramdin will lead the regional squad, which includes fellow former Captain Ramnaresh Sarwan. Devendra Bishoo, Rayad Emrit, Sewnarine Chattergoon and Jason Mohammed among the former West Indies internationals selected.
West Indies will compete in Group A alongside defending champions South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka, Canada, Namibia, Wales, and Colombia. Group B comprises England, New Zealand, Pakistan, India, the United States, Scotland, Rest of the World XI and Rest of the Caribbean XI.
Each team will play seven preliminary matches, with the top two from each group advancing to the championship semi-finals. The schedule also includes crossover and placement matches.
Games are scheduled for grounds across Guyana, including Providence, Bourda, Albion and Anna Regina, allowing spectators in several regions to attend. This will be the second edition of the tournament, following the inaugural competition in South Africa in 2024.
The full West Indies squad comprises Denesh Ramdin (Captain); Ramnaresh Sarwan; Sewnarine Chattergoon; Jason Mohammed; Lawrence Farnum; Randy Thomas; Antonnel Atwell; Hemnarine Chattergoon; Mickey Lathman; Larry Babb; Rakesh Maharaj; Rayad Emrit; Devendra Bishoo; Reno Mitterholzer; Imran Khan; and Trevor Benn. Rajendra Sadeo will serve as Manager, with Julian Moore as Coach.
