Hundreds of cricket fans camped outside the Caribbean Premier League Box Office on Camp Street, Georgetown, from Thursday evening into Friday morning to secure tickets for the Guyana Amazon Warriors’ five home matches.
The Warriors will open their home campaign against new franchise Jamaica Kingsmen on September 4 at 19:00h. They will then face the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots on September 6 at 10:00h, followed by the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons on September 8 at 19:00h.
The final two matches of the Guyana leg will see the Warriors battle the St Lucia Kings on September 9 and the Trinbago Knight Riders on September 11. Both games will begin at 19:00h.
Tickets cost GY$7000 for the Green Stand, GY$6500 for the Red Stand, GY$4000 for the Orange Stand and GY$2500 for the Grass Mound.
Matches will be played across eight Caribbean nations, while the top four teams after the league phase will advance to the playoffs at Kensington Oval in Barbados. The playoffs are scheduled for September 17 and 18, with the final set for September 20.
