Cut and Load, All Stars renew rivalry in Price Is Right/UCCA T20 final

Defending champions No. 72 Cut and Load will battle arch-rivals No. 72 All Stars today in the final of the 2026 Price Is Right/Upper Corentyne Cricket Association (UCCA) T20 Second Division competition.
The multimillion-dollar tournament will conclude at the No. 69 Vikings Ground on the Corentyne, with the highly anticipated rematch scheduled to begin at noon.
The two teams also contested the 2025 final, and another close encounter is expected as Cut and Load seek to retain their title against a familiar opponent.
Now in its third edition, the tournament is sponsored exclusively by Danesh “Boyco” Roopnarine of the Price Is Right Supermarket in Corriverton. The business also operates several other branches along the Corentyne Coast.
More than GY$5 million has been invested in the competition, making it the largest Second Division cricket tournament in Berbice and possibly Guyana. It is also considered one of the country’s biggest cricket competitions in terms of financial sponsorship.
The champions will receive more than GY$500,000 in cash, trophies and other incentives, while the runners-up will collect rewards valued at over GY$250,000. The two losing semi-finalists will each receive GY$50,000 and a trophy.
Individual prizes will also be presented following the final. The best batsman will receive a new bat and the best bowler a pair of boots, while the Most Valuable Player will collect a trophy and GY$10,000.
The tournament’s leading wicketkeeper will receive a pair of gloves, while the batsman with the most runs will be rewarded with batting pads. The bowler with the most wickets will collect a pair of cricket boots.
Twenty-four teams were slated to compete in this year’s tournament, with the sponsor providing complete uniforms and caps to each side. Cricket balls were also supplied for the duration of the competition.
The other participating teams were Crabwood Creek Sports Club, Crabwood Creek Bomb Squad, Crabwood All Family, No. 70 Sports Club, Line Path Raptors, Skeldon Community Centre Titans, Scottsburg United, No. 73 Young Warriors, No. 71 Sports Club and No. 70 MYO.
No. 69 Vikings, No. 68 Turn Team, No. 64 Fighting Marines, No. 48 Challengers, No. 43 Scorpions, Yakusari Caribs, Molsen Creek Wolf Warriors, Yakusari Horizon, No. 72 Hong Kong, No. 69 Red Rose, Grill Master Avengers and Skeldon Jaguars also participated.
Today’s final will be livestreamed with ball-by-ball commentary. A concert and show featuring Crown Vibes International Sounds and local artistes will follow the cricket.
