Day 2 of second-round matches abandoned

The entire second day of the second round of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB)/Hand-In-Hand Insurance Under-19 Inter-County Three-Day tournament was abandoned because the outfields became wet from overnight and early morning rains in the city.

The second day of the match was completely washed out, leaving today as the only day of play available, weather permitting.

The situation at Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary was the same on Friday and Saturday

The matches were scheduled to get underway at two venues at 10:00h, but both grounds were affected by the rain. At 12:15h and 12:30h, the day’s play in the respective matches was called off at the Police Sports Club Ground at Eve Leary and at the Everest Cricket Club Ground.

The matches are expected to get underway today at 10:00h, with reigning champions and favourites Demerara taking on the Under-17s at Everest Cricket Club Ground, while Berbice and Essequibo are set to battle at Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary.
