The decomposed body of an unidentified male of mixed ancestry was pulled from Capoey Lake, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam), on Friday evening. Police stated that ranks received a report of a body being spotted in the lake and went to the scene, where they observed the decomposed body lying face-up on the bank.

The body was partially submerged in water and clad in black underwear. It was examined, and a tattoo bearing the word “ANIMAL,” along with the image of a jaguar, was seen on the upper left arm.
The body was removed and taken to the Suddie Public Hospital mortuary, awaiting a post-mortem examination. An investigation has been launched.
