Senior citizens feted for 13th anniversary

Thirteen elderly persons living in Rose Hall in Region Six (East Berbice- Corentyne) were recently gifted food hampers, umbrellas and clocks, compliments of Demerara Bank.

branch, which was opened in February 2004.

Branch Manager Devendra Persaud explained that the donation was in keeping with the Bank’s mission to fulfil its social responsibilities. Addressing the gathering, Persaud expressed gratitude to all customers for their support over the years and assured that the Bank would continue to provide efficient and superior banking services to its customers.

The senior citizens were elated to have received the hampers and expressed their profound gratitude to the Bank for its continuous efforts to give back to the community. One of the elders, Jessie Grey said that she was very happy to be selected and showered praises on the Bank. Beneficiaries included both males and females aged 65-91 years old.
