In its latest drive to ensure cricket associations are well equipped with the necessary resources in their districts, the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) through its structural development programme presented a Honda Brush Cutter to Rohan Sarjoo, Acting President of the East Bank Cricket Association yesterday in the conference room of Industrial Supply of Guyana Inc.
As done in other critical locations across the country, the brush cutter was given for the intended purpose of maintaining training and playing facilities. In this case, the target location is the East Bank Cricket Association jurisdiction.

According to a press release that reached this publication yesterday evening, the President of the East Bank Cricket Association, Anand Kalladeen, who is also a member of the GCB executive, was very instrumental in formulating a strategic ground development plan. The conceptualization of the brush cutter was derived from such a plan, where this valuable donation, is expected to be of tremendous benefit to the EBCA.
“The GCB hopes that this contribution will assist the EBCA in delivering their duties and responsibilities in a more efficient manner, and that the players will be the main beneficiary of such a donation. The GCB notes, that the EBCA has plans to commence their 2017 T/20 from Saturday, 13 May 2017, (a period in which rain is predicted), and as such, anxiously look forward for great reviews as to meaningful use of the brush cutter”, the release informed.
It further stated; “This timely and valuable contribution is a demonstration of the GCB’s continued effort to collaboratively organize, develop and promote cricket in Guyana, and the GCB feels privileged to work with Associations, Committees and Counties who places heavy emphasis on Guyana’s cricket development and promotion.”
