Enmore CCCC, Lusignan SC to clash in final under floodlights this Sunday

The finalists for the 2019 Banks Beer 100-Ball Bash was decided on Sunday last at Enmore Community Centre Ground when Enmore CCCC defeated Strathavon SC by 61 runs, and Lusignan SC got the better of Lusignan East by eight wickets in their respective semi-finals. As a result, the final match-up will be a repeat of 2018 between ECCCC and Lusignan SC.

In the inaugural competition, Lusignan SC defeated Enmore CCCC, but with both teams being unbeaten in this format during 2019, Enmore will no doubt fancy their chances, having defeated a strong Lusignan team in the final of the 40-Over format earlier this year. This competition, which is sponsored by the Banks Beer brand, is in its second year and commenced in October last among 20 teams on the East Coast Demerara.
The final, which is set for this Sunday, will be played under floodlights at Enmore after matches between Enmore Masters and Floodlights select team and the third-place match-up between Lusignan East and Strathavon SC. The East Coast Cricket Committee 2019 presentation and awards ceremony will also be held before the final game as all matches for the 2019 season will be completed this weekend.
Scores from the semi-finals are as follows: ECCCC 145 for 7 wickets. Imran Hassan 61, V Ramlakhan 27 and B Ramkelawan 23. M Ronald took 4 wickets for 34 runs for Strathavon SC, who were then dismissed for 84. For ECCCC, Chaitram Balgobin took 2 for 14 and Satash Jainarine 2 for 11.
In the second semi-final, Lusignan East were bowled out for 96 in the final over. T Persaud made 33 runs and K Amsterdam, 21. V Doodnauth, C Ramraj, V Ramjeet and R Williams each took two wickets for Lusignan. Lusignan SC’s run chase was led by Robin Williams, who made 64* and V Ramjeet had 25* while A Sammy took 2 wickets for 14.
