Final four decided in Guinness National football championships

The final four teams have been decided in the Guinness Greatest of the Streets National championships afterGuinness eight riveting matches at that National Cultural Centre Tarmac on Wednesday.

It will be Sparta Boss against Wisroc then Team 25 against Channel 9 Warriors as the four teams battle for the two places in the grand final on Friday at the same venue. The winner of the final will represent Guyana in St. Lucia at the regional championships.

Sparta Boss reached the semi-finals after they defeated Beterverwagting (BV) ‘B’ 4-0 due to respective doubles by Devon Millington in the 11th and 12th then Gregory Richardson (13th and 14th).

Wisroc defeated Showstoppers 1-0 thanks a Clarence Huggins goal in the 20th; similarly Channel-9-Warriors eased pass North Ruimveldt 2-0 as Joshua Fiffee in the 4th and Kemo Lawrence scored in the 7th scored the winning goals.

In the other match, Team 25 made light work of Stewartville Gunners in their 2-0 nill win, with Quacey Johnson and Keron Smith scoring in the 2nd and 20th minutes respectively.

The winning team will pocket in excess of $300,000 along with bragging rights and most importantly the opportunity to represent the country at the Regional street futsal tournament.
