Fire contained at Robb St Chinese store in Georgetown

Firefighters from the Guyana Fire Service (GFS) responded to a building fire on Wednesday at Lot 87 Robb Street, Lacytown, Georgetown.

According to the GFS, it deployed one water tender and two water carriers to the scene after receiving reports of the fire. Upon arrival, firefighters observed smoke coming from the storage bond of Sue Fashion. Firefighters activated standard firefighting procedures and were able to extinguish the blaze.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
