Reports are that Boodhoo and his nephew, Suresh Persaud, 23, had a misunderstanding that stemmed from a family dispute. The nephew told Police that he confronted Boodhoo to speak with him about his behaviour but instead, he was attacked with a cutlass.

From reports received, the man is slipping in and out of consciousness and has to be monitored by doctors and nurses.
