Floodlight Cricket and After-Party for Albion Sports Complex on Saturday

On Saturday, the Albion Sports Complex will come alive when the MMP Foundation for Excellence hosts its inaugural T-20 Floodlight Cricket and After-Party.

The event will see six teams competing for supremacy, including Port Mourant, Young Warriors, Albion, Fyrish, Rose Hall Tigers and Blairmont Blazers.

The first ball bowls off at 10:00h with an official ceremony expected to be attended by Minister with responsibility for sport, Dr George Norton and a representative from the National Sport Commission.

The preliminaries will be played on a 10-overs basis after which the semi-final will be 15 overs each and the finals will be played under floodlights at 20 overs apiece.

During the day, there will be exciting activities for the children, ranging from bouncy castles to face painting, trampoline and others.

However, the after-party is set for later in the evening after the presentation ceremony. So far, the deejays of the Showtime Sound System will definitely add the flavour to the event with some of the best juggling.

In addition, an international deejay is expected add his touch on the console and a few routes from the best dance groups in Berbice.

Tickets for the event cost $500 for adults and $200 for children and are available at Benjamin Sport and Gym, Albion Road; Stationery Plus and Baby Store, Rose Hall; Dr Ramesh Sugrim’s Clinic; JC Chandisingh Secondary School canteen; and Big B Restaurant.
