Fredricks stars as Abram Zuil claims Zone 1 U19 T20 title

Abram Zuil Secondary was crowned Zone One champions of the 2026 Beharry Secondary Schools Under-19 T20 tournament after completing a dominant 131-run victory over Charity Secondary at the new Anna Regina Stadium on Tuesday.
Opener Ravid Fredricks produced a match-winning innings of 92 before Abram Zuil’s bowlers dismissed Charity for just 31 in 10 overs. Fredricks was named Player of the Match for his decisive contribution in the final.
Batting first, Abram Zuil posted 162 for four from their allotted 20 overs. Fredricks narrowly missed a century during his 68-ball innings, which included 13 fours and two sixes.
He received valuable support from Eshwar Tilak, who struck two fours in his 28 from 36 deliveries. Their efforts formed the foundation of Abram Zuil’s challenging total.
Charity used six bowlers, but only three managed to claim a wicket. Jeral Gildharie, one of the team’s leading performers during the tournament, finished with one for 21.
Abram Zuil then produced a clinical bowling display to end the contest quickly. Rhonel Nurse returned outstanding figures of three wickets for two runs, while Shivesh Bridgemohan took three for 11. Tilak completed a strong all-round performance with two for 12.
Gildharie was the only Charity batter to reach double figures, scoring 13, as the remainder of the batting order struggled against Abram Zuil’s disciplined attack.
The victory completed an impressive campaign for Abram Zuil, who had dominated several rounds leading into the Zone One final.
Fredricks also ended the zonal competition as its leading run-scorer and wicket-taker. He accumulated 113 runs and claimed seven wickets during the tournament.
