GCB extends condolences on the passing of Umpire Pritipaul George

The executives and staff of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) has learnt with great sadness of the passing if Guyana and Regional umpire, Pritipaul George who succumbed to renal failure on Saturday morning at age 54.
We extend our condolences to his family, friends, umpires and entire cricket faternity. He was always a pleasant individual ready to assure anyone in whatever way he can. His demise is a huge loss to the members if the sub-associations across Guyana, the players and officials.
George has given loyal service to the game of cricket and through the quality of his work, earned respect of the players and spectators at the local and national levels. He also held the post of President of West Demerara Umpires Association in the 1990s.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.
