GCB President, Executives meet Harpy Eagles ahead of departure 

– Pacer Shamar Joseph added to squad

Ahead of the upcoming CG United Regional Super50 tournament, the President and Executives of the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) met and chatted with members of the Guyana Harpy Eagles team on Friday evening.
Friday’s courtesy call at the Windjammer Hotel in Kitty saw GCB President Bissoondyal Singh alongside a few of his executives, including Secretary Ronald Williams.
The team greeted members of the Eagles team, including skipper Veerasammy Permaul, Kemol Savory, Ronsford Beaton, Kevlon Anderson, Niall Smith, Quentin Sampson and others.

Assistant coach Garvin Nedd spoke briefly on his team’s current state of mind, as well as their goals for this upcoming challenge. Nedd pointed out that the players were confident as they seek to wrap up the year with the 4-Day, CPL T20, and Super50 titles in their possession.

GCB President Singh thanked the team for their cohesion, and lauded them for their recent performances in the inter-county as well as the practice games. He urged them to represent Guyana with class and success, adding that they need to remain ambassadors of the country.
Pacer Shamar Joseph has been added to the Eagles team, the announcement being made late on Friday evening. The squad’s potential has thus been bolstered.
The Guyana Harpy Eagles departed Guyana and arrived in Trinidad and Tobago on Saturday.
