Gold Board publishes list of licensed dealers for 2026

…warns against illegal transactions

The Natural Resources Ministry, through the Guyana Gold Board (GGB), has released the list of licensed gold dealers authorised to operate for 2026, while reminding miners, traders and the public to comply with established legal requirements for gold trading. The GGB said the authorisations are issued under Section 9(1) of the Guyana Gold Board Act, Cap. 66:01, and Regulation 4(3) of the Guyana Gold Board (Dealers) Regulations No. 4 of 1997. These provisions empower the Board to authorise individuals and entities to possess, sell or export gold through the issuance of a Dealer’s Licence. According to the Ministry, only persons and entities granted an Authorisation to Possess, Sell or Export Gold are recognised as licensed dealers and must operate strictly within the applicable regulatory framework. The authorised dealers include Dinar Trading, 1 Lamaha and Cummings Streets, Georgetown; El Dorado Trading, multiple locations including Kingston, Newtown, Bourda, Port Kaituma, Bartica (multiple sites), Anna Regina, Lethem, and Puruni; Gold Bar Development & Consulting Inc, Lot O First Avenue, Bartica; Pure Diamond Inc, Bel Air Park, Georgetown; First Avenue, Bartica. The Guyana Gold Board noted that El Dorado Trading operates at several approved locations across Regions One, Two, Seven; Eight and Nine in addition to Georgetown.
The Ministry cautioned that engaging in gold transactions with unlicensed persons or at unauthorised locations may result in law enforcement action and other legal consequences. It further stressed that all transactions with licensed dealers must be conducted only at approved premises. The Natural Resources Ministry and the GGB said they remain committed to ensuring transparency, regulatory compliance, and integrity within Guyana’s gold trading sector.
