Golden Fleece Rice Investment sponsors 1-week cricket academy in Essequibo

Males youths living across Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) have been benefiting from one week of cricket academy compliments of Golden Fleece Rice Investment. The rice miller, Nazemul Hakh provided the resources and gears needed for the coaching while Imam Bacchus and Sons provided the ground needed for the practical play.
Speaking to youths at Imam Bacchus Affiance Sports ground, Wednesday morning, owner of Golden Fleece Investment, Nazeemul Hakh, said that his company contribution was to support Essequibo Cricket board in moulding youths for the game of cricket. He added that often times youths love cricket but do not have the kind of knowledge and practical skills to play the game. Hakh urged youths to make maximum use of the opportunity provided to them and pledged his support towards future games and training sessions.
Meanwhile, Member of the Essequibo Cricket Board, Aotto Christiani, extended gratitude on behalf of the Essequibo Cricket Board (ECB), towards businessmen, Hakh and Bacchus for promoting cricket in Essequibo. He said training is presently provided to youths to further equip them with knowledge on the game. Christiani is of the view that one of the major challenges for the ECB in Region Two is securing sponsorship and was happy to have the businessmen on board.

” The greatest investment one can make is in youths, to see them achieve and gain in the future is the greatest achievement” Christiani said.
During his address he also noted that Essequibo has been struggling with cricket for the longest while however he suggested that youngster need to have a change of attitude towards the game. In encouraging the youths he said youths need to be physically fit in and remain focus.
Youths will be coached in the field of cricket and life skills by Linden Daniel. Coach Daniel said it is important for youths to be discipline in the field of cricket.
Youths Orlando Jailall and Joshwa Jones during interviews related the seminars were very educational and they are happy to be a part of such; the youths thanked the Essequibo Cricket Board for organizing such events.
