Golden Jubilee cricket set for Sunday at NCC

The Golden Jubilee workplace tape-ball cricket competition will be played tomorrow, Sunday May 15 at the National Culture Centre Tarmac, Hadfield Street, Lodge.

The competition is for workplace cricket teams who will challenge each other in six-overs per side matches beginning from 09:00h. Trophies will be awarded to the wining team, losing finalist, the tournament’s most valuable player, the player with the most runs in the final and the bowler with the most wickets in the final.

All trophies and medals are donated by Ramesh Sunich of the Trophy stall in Bourda Market.

To date, eight teams are fully registered for the competition which is still open to more work place teams. To participate, call 672-6179, 613-0844 or 66-5857 before 09:00h on Saturday.

This Golden Jubilee competition which promises to be very competitive and exciting is coordinated by James “Uprising” Lewis who said that he is expecting a full day of action and a high level of play in the professional manner.
