GRC helped 21 families affected by fires

Despite being unable to host fundraisers due to the current pandemic, the Guyana Relief Council (GRC) has still managed to assist a total of 21 families who have been affected by fires during the first quarter of 2021.
The charity continues to provide limited assistance of food hampers, clothing, shoes and miscellaneous items which are donated. As such, the GRC continues to thank its donors for their contributions in these most challenging and unprecedented times.
For the period January 2021 to March 2021, the families who received assistance were from Regions one (Barima-Waini), Three (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) and Five (Mahaica-Berbice).
The GRC is a charitable non-governmental organisation (NGO) that renders assistance to any person/family whose life becomes disrupted by any form of disaster – natural or manmade, wherever it occurs throughout the 10 regions of Guyana.
The GRC has been providing almost 100 per cent coverage for all fires and providing much-needed assistance, irrespective of race, religion, political affiliation or any other distinguishing factor. (G15)
