Gunman caught on camera robbing gas station to appear in Linden Court

The lone gunman who was caught on camera robbing the Hinds Service Station at Wisroc, Wismar, Linden, Region 10, one week ago has been arrested and subsequently charged with crime.

Thirty-five-year-old Alex Pickering, also called “Small Man” and “Awoahh”, is due to appear on court today, Friday.
Police stated that during the incident, a female employee was allegedly relieved of $200,000 in cash while the perpetrator was armed with a firearm.
After reviewing the CCTV footage, Police arrested Pickering, who, up to the time of his arrest, had a 9mm pistol and seven live rounds of ammunition in his possession.
As such, Police instituted armed robbery and possession of firearm and ammunition charges against the suspect.
The video which circulated on social media showed a man with a gun demanding money from the female cashier. However, as the cashier was handing over the cash, the gunman rested his gun on the counter as he was checking the cash.
The cashier nevertheless grabbed the gun and pointed it at the suspect, causing him to flee the scene. The Police were summoned, and after reviewing the camera, Pickering was identified as the suspect.
