Guyana Cup 2019 boosted by iBet Supreme

The 2019 edition of the Guyana Cup horse racing meet, to be staged by the Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee, is already anticipated to be the biggest event in the history of its kind; but this event has just got bigger with the sponsorship of betting company iBet Supreme.

The meet is set for staging on August 18 at the Rising Sun Turf Club on the West Coast of Berbice, and in a statement to the media, iBet Supreme revealed: “iBET is proud to sponsor this event, since horse racing is an important (pastime) in Guyana, and at iBet, we’re looking for all avenues to further build the sport of horse racing in Guyana”.
The statement also revealed that the parent company of iBet Supreme — Supreme Ventures — also owns the Caymanas Park Track in Jamaica, and is responsible for the resurgence of horse racing in Jamaica.
Further, the statement read: “iBET Supreme will also have our other products on display so that turfites can also enjoy them as well. As part of our promotion for this event, punters who bet on racing in the United Kingdom at our Stabroek location will win tickets when they bet over a certain amount”.
Chairman of the Jumbo Jet Thoroughbred Racing Committee, Nazrudeen Mohamed, has declared he is looking forward to building a bigger and better partnership with iBet Supreme. He disclosed that the iBet Supreme Stake Race will see horses vying for supremacy over 1400m.

He said a concert will be staged after the day’s racing, and thus far, the participation of eight international artistes has been confirmed, along with that of a number of local acts.
