Guyanese Crandon named to NJCAA Region 15 Division 1 First Team
Asa freshman Akeem Crandon has finished second in voting and has been named to the NJCAA Region 15 Division 1 First Team on Sunday evening. The 6’10 freshman centre from Guyana has adapted extraordinarily well in his new surroundings during a pandemic.

Off the court, Akeem Crandon had a 3.91 grade point average during the fall semester. On the court, Crandon accepted every role asked of him on a nightly basis. Akeem averaged 12.6 points per game while shooting 49.1% from the field. His 10.5 rebounds per game were the highest on the team. This included 23 rebounds against Suffolk CC on 12-16-2021 and 19 rebounds on 2-15-2022 against Monroe College.
