HERO CPL releases Rovman Powell “Life Stories” film
The Hero Caribbean Premier League have released the third episode of their Life Stories series. This episode features Jamaican all-rounder Rovman Powell and his early life growing up in Old Harbour.
Rovman grew up in a single- parent family for which it was a struggle to get by. His mother often worked three jobs to enable ends to meet. We meet the teachers and coaches who first identified in Rovman the talent to make it as a cricketer, and they tell how the sport has changed his life and the lives of his family members.
This is the third film in the CPL Life Stories
series. The other two films featured Oshane Thomas and Keemo Paul. All three of these films are available to be watched on the CPL’s Facebook and YouTube channels.
Paul Pritchett-Brown, CPL Head of Production, said: “It is always such a pleasure to spend time with someone’s family when working on these projects, and it was so great to get to know Rovman and his mom and sister. Their story is an inspirational one, and one that we are sure people will enjoy watching.” (CPL.COM)
