Imlach calls for complete batting performance in upcoming fixtures

Guyana Harpy Eagles (GHE) Captain Tevin Imlach is calling for his top five to put in solid and complete performances in the upcoming fixtures of the West Indies championship.
Despite the GHE winning three matches against the Windward Islands Volcanoes, only Tagenarine Chanderpaul scored a century for the Guyanese.
The Guyanese will travel to Antigua on Thursday to play their next match from Sunday, May 10, against the West Indies Academy at the Antigua Recreation Ground. This venue has produced runs for the batsmen in the past and present, and the GHE men will be hoping for better returns.
“In order to win four-day games, you have to get 20 wickets, and our bowlers did that, and it was brilliant for us,” Imlach said.

“Our concern is our batting. The top five did not get the returns that we were looking for. I don’t know if it was lack of preparation or mindset. We will need to work on that; we have some things to iron out as a batting group.”
“Hopefully we can get a complete performance and be able to play a complete game in those two games to come,” the Guyana Captain said.
After three matches, Guyana are sitting pretty on 63.8 points.
Chanderpaul and Gudakesh Motie are the leading players from the Harpy Eagles.
Chander Paul is fifth overall among the leading run-scorers this season, with 308 runs, while Motie is the leading bowler of the season, with 24 wickets.
Barbadian Kevin Wickham is the leading batsman for the season, scoring 371 runs in three matches, including three centuries on the trot against Jamaica Scorpions. Test opener John Campbell has 334 runs while his Jamaican opening partner Kirk McKenzie has 323 runs. Joshua Da Silva is staking his claim for a Test return with 318 runs, including a double hundred in the last round.
Seamer Anderson Phillip has 17 wickets, seven behind Motie, while Jayden Seales has 13 scalps. Volcanoes’ duo Ryan John and Kenneth Dember have 12 wickets each.
