This LonLam Classic race was run under the motto ‘Riding with Integrity, Investing in Passion’. Some 30 starters took centre stage, since it was promoted as a ‘Linden only’ race, but the sponsors declared on Tuesday last that it should be open to cyclists countrywide.
Linden Bauxite Flyers Cycle Club (LBFCC) collaborated with LonLam Classic Committee in efforts to bring back the passion of cycling to Linden. The cycling season will continue on Sunday August 4 in West Demerara with a race being run from Schoonard to Bushy Park.
