Jehovah’s Witnesses embark on positive campaign

Guyana will be one of the thousands of communities around the globe that will receive a powerful message of hope this November as Jehovah’s Witnesses embark upon a special campaign focusing attention on the Bible’s hope for a better world.
The campaign will feature the distribution of a special edition of The Watchtower magazine containing the cover series “A Better World Is Near”.
“People are longing to hear a positive message and this is the best news possible,” said Daren Sendall, National Spokesman for Jehovah’s Witnesses. “A better world is not just a dream, it’s inevitable. In fact, it is a central part of Jesus’ gospel.”
This positive message has been the hope of millions around the world who have prayed for God’s Kingdom to come. One such person is former West Indies opening batsman Adrian Barath.
Commenting on how the Biblical hope for a better world has changed his life, the former cricketer said: “From my experience in travelling to various countries, I saw suffering to an extent unimaginable. I read at Revelation 21:3, 4 that God’s Kingdom promises a world free from crime, poverty, sickness and death. This has given my life more purpose, knowing that God will restore this earth to a paradise and my family and I will have the hope of living forever on it, free from the problems we all face today.”
