J’s Racing Stables putting in hard yards ahead of Guyana Cup

Despite the inconsistent weather conditions across the ancient county, horsemen are still putting in the work behind the scenes.
The immediate goal of the horsemen is to win on May 31 at the Independence Cup in Port Mourant, but the main goal is the Guyana Cup later this August.
J’s Racing Stables have etched their name in the top bracket of Guyana’s horse racing with some consistent performances since their introduction.
After purchasing Spankhurst, J’s Racing Stables never looked back. According to owner Jermaine Sripal, his team is working beyond the call of duty to prepare for Guyana Cup. He disclosed that the team even works for 18 hours a day to get horses ready to reap rewards.

“Horse race in Guyana always has it support. Wherever you put races, you will always have a big turnout.”
“We working hard. The entire team putting in long hours. Sometimes 18 hours per day, trying to get ready for Guyana. We are trying our best to be prepared for the Guyana Cup,” Sripal said.
While the main aim in sport is to win, having horses return home healthy and safe is the top priority for Sripal and his team.
“We are very proud. We didn’t win every race, but I am proud of the work. I don’t expect to win everything. Once the horse went out and perform, and return healthy that’s a good thing. We at J’s Racing Stables always try to do our best.”
The Guyana Cup is set for August 23, and all eyes will be on the J’s Racing Stables, who once placed second at their maiden Guyana Cup feature entry. It will be a dream if the J’s team goes one step further and claims the crown. (Brandon Corlette)
