Marshall, a vendor, appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts and denied that on February 10 at Kitty, Georgetown, he robbed Masecion Hartman of a quantity of items including a phone, hat, charger and cash all amounting to $180,040.
The charge was read by Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus.
Prosecutor Quinn Harris in presenting facts of the case told the court that on February 10, the Virtual Complainant (VC) was at the seawall when Marshall suddenly approached and pushed him to the ground.
Harris stated that whilst on the ground, Marshall began kicking the VC to the head as he relieved him of his belongings, before escaping. The VC then reported the matter to the police and Marshall was taken into custody.
Objections to bail were made by the prosecutor, citing the penalty and nature of the charge as well as its prevalence.
As such, Magistrate Isaacs-Marcus upheld the prosecution’s submission and remanded Marshall to prison. The case was adjourned to March 4, 2020.
