Twenty-year-old Samuel Austin of Tabatinga, Lethem, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo) was fined $80,000 on a prohibited motor racing charge.
Austin, who was the rider of the Brazilian-registered motorcycle QZN 5E94, appeared before Magistrate Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court on Friday.
He pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined $80,000, while his driver’s licence was also suspended for 12 months.
