LGC to host C&V Caribbean Shipping Limited’s golf tourney on October 23

Golfing action will continue at the Lusignan Golf Club (LSC) on Saturday October 23 when the C&V Caribbean Shipping Limited’s golf tourney kicks off with a bang.
The tournament will tee off at 12:30h, and will be medal play over 18 holes net and gross score shotgun start.
Players placing from first to third will receive vouchers valued at $5000, $4000 and $3000 respectively. These prizes will all be accompanied by a trophy and a gift.
There will also be a prize of $1500 up for grabs in the Best Net Front Nine and Best Net Back Nine categories, all of which will be accompanied by a trophy and a gift. Also receiving a trophy and a gift will be the winners of the Nearest to the flag (ladies), Nearest to the flag (men), Longest Drive (ladies and men) and Best Gross (ladies and men).

The sponsors have also noted that five participants who did not win a prize while competing would have a chance to receive a gift, once they are on site at the presentation ceremony.

The LGC has noted that players who participate in tournaments from September 18 to October 25 will be eligible for consideration for free entry into the Guyana Open Tournament via a competition format. Points for free entry will be awarded for the first 10 best net scores for each tournament. Points will also be awarded to the top five players for the day, based on their net scores. The player who accumulates the most points at the end of the exercise will be declared the winner, and can participate in the Guyana Open without having to pay the tournament fee.
All participants are advised to contact the club’s manager on the day of the tournament to collect their score cards, pay the tournament fees, and proceed to their allocated tee boxes to tee off at 12:30h. All COVID-19 protocols will be in effect. Registration closes on October 22, 2021 at 12:00 hrs.
