Linden Bauxite Flyers Cycling Club race set for Sunday

The cream of the nation’s cyclists will clash this Sunday, June 9, in the 2019 edition of the Linden Bauxite Flyers Cycling Club’s (LBFCC’s) 4th Annual Albert Rose Memorial Race, a 90-mile encounter that is proudly sponsored by the Rose Family from the Linden area in Region 10.
This 2019 contest will see a loop start being used, and the event ending at the Linden/Georgetown Bus Park on Republic Avenue in Linden after the riders would have travelled all the way to Silver Hill on the Linden/Soesdyke Highway.
Some of the most elite riders in the country — Paul De Nobriega, home boy Michael Anthony, and Romello Crawford – are expected to contest; and the race will be run in the following categories: Seniors; Juniors (3 laps); Veterans Under-45 (2 laps); Veterans Over-45, as well as the Females and Juveniles, will do one lap each. Cash prizes would be at stake.
The LBFCC has indicated that this event will serve as a warm-up to the National Cycling Championships scheduled for later this month.
