Linden Bauxite Flyers dominate Linden Town Week Cycling Classic 2021

On Sunday, April 25, 2021, cycling action in Linden kick-started with a bang as the Linden Mayor and Town Council presented Linden Town Week Cycling Classic 2021. The competition saw many top riders going for glory at the Mackenzie Circuit and featured several categories – Open, Veterans, Females, Juniors, and Juveniles.
In the Open race (15 laps) coming in first was Michael Anthony of Foundation Cycling Club, second was Nigel London of Linden Bauxite Flyers, third Andrew Forrester of Linden Bauxite Flyers, fourth was unattached rider Garfield Lorimer and fifth, Christopher Cornelius of Team Evolution.
In the veterans’ leg of the competition (five laps) coming in first was Lorimer, then London and third was Nigel Carrington, another unattached rider. In BMX action (two laps), coming in first was Javin Henry of Linden Bauxite Flyers while in the Juniors segment (eight laps), Elisha Rutherford of Linden Bauxite Flyers took the victory, followed by Forrester of Linden Bauxite Flyers and Mark Lewis Jr of Linden Bauxite Flyers respectively.
In the females’ race ( five laps), Susan Hamilton of Linden Bauxite Flyers was first, followed by Clivecia Spencer of Team Coco. In the Juveniles segment (five laps), coming in first was Lewis Jr, with second place going to Kevin Stephens and third to Samuel Bellamy, to complete a Linden Bauxite Flyers sweep of the podium places.
