Lusignan Golf Club give hampers to caddies

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a financial impact on the operations of many industries and organisations all over the world, and the Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) has thus been affected.
With the LGC being closed since the lockdown measures have come into effect, the livelihoods of the club’s caddies, who depend on the little income received to support themselves and their families, have been adversely affected.
Knowing the adverse situat

ion confronting the caddies, some LGC members have come to their rescue by providing monetary and other donations towards creating hampers for them. Thus a total of 30 caddies and 10 less fortunate families within the Lusignan area have benefited from the receipt of hampers over the weekend.
The recipients have each expressed their gratitude for the gift, and have thanked the LGC members for their generosity.
The LGC Management Committee would like to thank those members who contributed towards the hampers, and express special thanks to Hilbert Shields and Pandit Haresh for initiating the process.
