Mahaica man slapped with gun, ammo possession charges

Twenty-four-year-old Kevin Barnwell, also called ‘Bull,’ of Supply, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara (ECD), has been remanded to prison on firearm and ammunition charges.
He appeared in a Georgetown Magistrate’s Court and pleaded not guilty to the charges when they were read to him.
The Police have said that Barnwell was arrested on September 9 with an illegal firearm and ammunition without being the holder of the relevant licences.
He has been remanded to prison by acting Chief Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs, who set October 10 for his return to court.
