Manager charged for assaulting wife

A manager found himself before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts after he reportedly assaulted his wife.
Paul Gittens admitted that he assaulted Alesia Gittens on June 24, 2018 at Prashad Nagar, Georgetown.
According to reports, on the day in question, the defendant was demanding the keys to his home after he and the Virtual Complainant (VC) encountered issues, but was refused.
As such, he reportedly became angry and a scuffle ensued between the couple during which the defendant reportedly dealt the VC several blows to the body.
He was later arrested and charged with the offence. When questioned, the defendant told Magistrate Fabayo Azore that it was a complicated situation.
He was fined $10,000 with an alternative sentence of 14 days in prison.
