Marics and Company on Friday launched a new head office in Georgetown, Guyana giving customers a comfortable location to conduct their errands while supplying quality products.
Featuring a newly-designed showroom and state-of-the-art service centre, the idea is to market the internationally recognised Honda brand, which is boldly marked on the new structure.
During the opening ceremony at the new Charlotte Street, Georgetown, Managing Director Diana Permaul emphasised that the enterprise has been known as the “Home of Honda” and is now expanding to offer even more to the Guyanese

“In 2011, Marics experienced new management and now exists to offer our customers cost-effective and durable Honda transportation, power products and marine outboard engine at fair market prices.”
She added, “Honda’s continued innovation has increased the trust in its brand and respect globally. Honda continues to outshine the competition due to embodying the concept of durability, safety, fuel efficiency and environmentally-friendly products. Marics is proud to be the sole distributor for such a renowned brand.”
Recently, the company would have embarked on a new initiative, introducing Isuzu vehicles on the local markets at affordable costs. For this, they have been able to offer superior services and products to all consumers.
“The substance of our company is hedged on building excellent and long-lasting customer relationship and selling products that meets our customers’ needs.”
Present at the event was Business Minister Dominic Gaskin who lauded the actions of entrepreneurs who seek to establish trades throughout the country.
“It is encouraging to see businesses registering their confidence in Guyana’s economy by making investments… I firmly believe that businesses have every reason to be confident with what is happening in our economy.”
He referred to the much-anticipated oil industry and its benefits which awaits Guyana by saying, “It is no secret that a huge amount of oil has been discovered and that oil will be produced in little over a year. Guyana is moving into a new exciting phase of its economic development and all Guyanese businesses will have to adapt to what is on the horizon.”
The Business Minister insisted that persons should desist from purchasing items from unauthorised importers and distributors to acquire quality merchandises.
“We have to move away from buying whatever we buy from importers who are unauthorised and have no relationship with the dealers if we as consumers want to benefit from the warranty of quality.”
