Mason still on the run after stabbing ex-girlfriend

The man who allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death at C Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown, on Thursday, is still on the run from the Police.
Police said they are still hunting the man who was identified as 34-year-old Terrence Thomas called “Oosh” as their investigation continues.
Twenty-eight-year-old Loretta Simon of Albouystown, Georgetown, was fatally stabbed after her ex-boyfriend Thomas, went to her mother’s home in which she was staying, asked her for some water and started to demand that she tell him the reason why she ended their relationship.
The woman’s younger sister, who is only nine, related that her sister told the suspect to leave her mother’s premises but he whipped out a knife from the waist of his pants and stabbed her in the region of her heart. As he ran away, he dropped the knife in the yard.
Sometime after, Emergency Medical Technicians from Alberttown Fire Station were summoned and the victim was pronounced dead by a doctor from Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation.
The dead woman was allegedly threatened by the suspect last year, and after enduring a period of abuse, she ended the relationship.
Guyana Times was informed that the man began to stalk the woman, forcing her to move in with relatives in Albouystown.
However, Simon moved on with her life and was two months pregnant for someone else. After being pronounced dead, Simon’s body was taken to the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
Following the stabbing incident, the Police issued a wanted bulletin for Thomas, but he continues to evade the Police. The hunt is ongoing.
